Frequently Asked Questions

I want to submit items for consignment to TWSC, where do I start?

All consignment information, including our  submission form, shipping address, and payout rates are available on our website under the ‘Consign’ tab. To begin your submission, complete a Consignment Submission Form and then ship your cards out to us. We handle the rest.

Why would I consign my items with TWSC over other consignment venues?

TWSC is “The Hobby’s Consignor”. At TWSC, we strive to provide the quickest turnaround times in the eBay Consignment business, full transparency and updates throughout your consignment, and above-and-beyond communication. TWSC also offers Payout Rates that won’t be beat by any other competitors and often saves you money versus selling items on your own on eBay.

How do I know where my cards are in the consignment process?

TWSC strives for full transparency during your consignment experience to give you comfort and clarity from start to finish. We have enabled technology that provides you notifications/emails throughout the entire submission beginning when your package arrives until your last card is paid out. When we know, you know. You will also be sent a link to your own consignment tracker that allows you to track the details of all of your cards’ activity.

What are the fees for consigning my items with TWSC?

Payouts are variable based on the sale price of the card. You can find our Consignment Payout Rates by clicking the ‘Consign’ tab.

How are Payout Rates calculated?

Payout Rates are calculated based off of the final sale price of an item. You will receive the appropriate percentage of the final sale price according to what the item sells for. For example, if your item sells for $4,100, then you will receive $3,690, or 90% of the final sale price of $4,100.

Who pays ebay fees and shipping when my items sell?

We take care of all fees associated with a sale. This includes, eBay, PayPal, shipping, etc.

How do I get paid?

TWSC pays out consignments via Paypal Friends and Family, ACH/bank transfer, bank wire, or company check. On the Consignment Submission Form, you can let us know what your preferred payout method is.

When do I get paid?

Generally, payouts are made once the buyer’s payment has cleared. This is typically 24-72 hours after the buyer remits payment for a card. For a better experience, we also try to group payouts for multiple cards together.

How long does it take for my cards to be listed?

All submissions with less than 50 items are GUARANTEED to be listed within 3 business days of TWSC receiving  the submission. Any submissions with more than 50 items are GUARANTEED to be listed within 5 business days of TWSC receiving the submission.

How long are your auctions?

All cards are sent to 7-day auctions unless otherwise requested by the submitter on the Submission Form. To maximize results, we do not schedule auctions to end on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights.

Does TWSC set a reserve for auctions?

No. All TWSC auctions start at $9.99. We believe that auctions with reserves limit interest and can hinder bidding activity.

Does TWSC pay for me to ship my items to them?

All shipping costs associated with shipping your items to TWSC are the responsibility of the submitter.

What if my item(s) gets returned after I have received my payout from TWSC?

In order to keep Top Rated Seller status with eBay and remain one of the most trusted sports card sellers on eBay, TWSC is required to allow Free, 30-day Returns on all items. If an item is returned after you have received your payout from TWSC for that item, TWSC will automatically relist that item. Per TWSC Terms of Consignment (which you are required to agree to prior to submitting a consignment to TWSC), if the returned item sells for LESS than the original sale price, the submitter is responsible for paying the remaining balance back to TWSC. If the returned item sells for MORE than the original sale price, TWSC will pay the submitter the balance above the original sale price after the appropriate Payout Rate has been applied.

What happens if a card does not get paid for?

TWSC allows buyers up to 4 days to pay for an item. Any item that has not been paid for after 4 days items will automatically be relisted on a 7-day auction.

What happens if a card does not sell?

If a card does not sell for the minimum $9.99 starting price, it will be relisted up to two (2) times thereafter. If the card still does not sell, the consignor will be subject to a $2 fee. Based on agreement with the consignor, the card will either be forfeited to TWSC, or returned to the consignor at the consignor’s expense.
